What past clients are saying about LifeTree Placenta Services…
To be honest, I couldn’t make up my mind on whether or not to encapsulate my placenta. I heard about placenta encapsulation on a podcast and decided to look into it but my medical provider shared some misleading negative information and, without evidence-based information readily available, I felt uninformed. When I shared my concerns with Nikole she was open to hearing my concerns and sent me information to help me make choices “I felt good about.” Those were her exact words and they meant so much to me because you could tell she wasn’t forcing your hand, she was, and is, genuine about it. So she sent me a “Medical Misunderstandings” PDF and more information on available research across the U.S. This was extremely helpful! After attending a Bergen county ICAN meeting and meeting a few of her past clients, who spoke so highly of their experience taking their placenta after birth, I booked her services. I am so glad I did! I waited until 6 weeks postpartum to write this review because I wanted to really get a sense of how they impacted me, and I can wholeheartedly agree they helped me stabilize my mood and feel overall more joyful during my postpartum. There are days when I am moody and my family jokes, “did you forget your placenta pill today?”, so my family has also witnessed my amazing shift compared to my postpartum with my first child. I was very emotional and cried a lot. This time around I felt, and continue to feel, so relaxed and happy. One day that I forgot to take them I actually recall feeling like I wanted to isolate myself and cry. So I am a believer that this works and highly suggest doing it! I got mine encapsulated with the grape flavor and love that the pill doesn’t have a weird order or odd taste. Thank you Nikole!
I cannot say enough complimentary things about the services provided by LifeTree! Very professional each step of the way & Nikole is incredibly kind. She truly goes above and beyond with her support! I chose the Raw Dehydration Method. The packaging is beautiful and the instructions are so thorough. I would highly recommend LifeTree to anyone considering this service.
Thank you Nikole and LifeTree for making my transition into twin motherhood as gentle as possible. My mood has been stable, my milk has been abundant, and I am really the best version of myself even as I rise to the occasion of being a new mother to two. I definitely credit the placenta pills in part to this gentle transition and I am so thankful!
Nikole was an absolute joy to work with. I had decided pretty early on in my pregnancy that I wanted to encapsulate the placenta. Little did I know, my baby would end up being born 10 days late! Nikole had no trouble accommodating us and sending someone out to the hospital to retrieve the placenta within hours of his birth. I also ended up being discharged from the hospital an entire day early to avoid an awful snow storm heading our way. Nikole was able to get the capsules back to me within 24 hours of his birth and never made a fuss about having to rearrange her schedule. Thank you, Nikole for a pleasant experience!
Nikole was a pleasure to work with. She answered all our questions and made us feel comfortable with our choice. The placenta encapsulation pill work wonders! I didn’t do it with my first kids and after doing it with my 3rd I had so much energy, everyone that sees me always says that I don’t look like I a newborn at home! Not only it did it help with energy, but increased my milk supply tremendously. I actually have an oversupply! Definitely, will use Nikole again for our next child.
Nikole is amazing with a heart of gold. She really focuses on her clients and their needs. The whole process was super easy- from signing up to pick ups and drop offs. She answered any questions I had, and was thorough with her explanations and suggestions. She gave me beautiful prints and pictures of my placenta (which I have hanging in my office!) and a gorgeous umbilical cord keepsake that’s in my son’s newborn shadowbox display. The placenta pills have been awesome. I’ve had much more energy to keep up with my first son (more energy than I had with my first Postpartum recovery for sure!), my emotions have been in check, and my milk supply has been great. I can’t recommend Nikole enough to people who ask about my placental encapsulation or those looking for one!
When my water unexpectedly broke at just 35 weeks one of my first fears was that I would not be able to move forward with my plan to have my placenta dried and encapsulated. Two hours before my c-section we were able to reach Nikole who assured us she would be able to arrange for the placenta pick up. On a day when nothing about my “birth plan” went according to plan, Nikole and LifeTree came to the rescue. I was thrilled to receive my package the day after my baby boy was born!
I cannot say enough positive things about the entire experience of encapsulating my placenta. Nikole was so supportive and professional from the very first time I reached out, all the way to sending a sweet email checking in on me a few days postpartum. She got to the hospital incredibly fast to take the placenta, and was so quiet and just got right to work and slipped right out, not interrupting mommy/baby bonding time at all. She then returned the pills the very next day and calmly explained everything to me. The main reason I was interested in trying placenta encapsulation is because with my first 2 kids, I suffered from the baby blues pretty bad. It would last an intense 2 weeks, and I would feel helpless and not in control of my own feelings. Crying over everything and anything, it was unbearable. I wanted to enjoy those 2 weeks with my newborn this time around and was willing to try anything. Everyone I told thought I was crazy but I didn’t care. My husband knew how hard those 2 weeks are and was supportive and that’s all I needed. Well… So many of those people who were skeptical, could not believe how fast I recovered from my c-section this time around and how different my mood was. I would say the baby blues were about 70% better this time around and were done by a little less than 2 weeks. There were still periods of being weepy (which I totally expected) but I was able to gain control of myself pretty quickly. On days that I was feeling extra down, I would take and extra pill or 2, which really helped. I was also moving around much more comfortably in comparison to my other c sections. I wish I had tried this with my other two kids, because I feel like I actually enjoyed that baby moon period, instead of counting down the days until 2 weeks when I knew the blues would pass. I cannot thank Nikole enough for the professionalism and positivity. I look forward to trying out the tincture in a few weeks!
Nikole was amazing to work with! We are so pleased with the care, sensitivity, and expertise that she showed us. We love the products, and the fact that she went the extra mile to help us and answer all of our questions. We will definitely be recommending her services to everyone that we know who is expecting a baby! We also were thrilled to be able to barter toward the cost of encapsulation. Knowing that Nikole was able to be somewhat flexible in her pricing structure really eased our minds as we prepared to buy all of the things that we needed for baby!
Having my placenta encapsulated was one of the best decisions I’ve made! I have no friends or family that have done this before, nor even discussed it. However, I was reading about many celebrity moms that were doing it and they were raving about the results. I was intrigued so I decided to read up on it and as an educated woman my choice was a no brainer. Everything about it made complete sense. What made my decision even easier was working with Nikole. I never once felt pressured after initially contacting her. She was a complete professional and the forms and information I needed to fill out were on point and simple. My delivery came a little earlier than expected and Nikole had my placenta pills and tincture ready the next day!!! She even spent the time to sit with my husband and answer all of his questions. When he came back he told me how glad he was that I had the pills made. This was my third c section and definitely my most difficult. I immediately felt a change in my hormones for the better after taking the pills. I am able to enjoy every second with my baby and some how have energy , even with two toddlers at home too. My milk supply has never been better. With my first two babies I was never able to nurse full time and pump when needed. With this baby I am able to nurse and then pump in between sessions if needed. I also had the tincture made so I will be able to use this during menopause. I am sooo glad I got this done. I wish I knew about it with my first two pregnancies! If anyone is second guessing on whether to have this service done they should!! It is so worth it!
I’m so grateful I found Nikole and LifeTree. I struggled with postpartum depression and nursing in my first pregnancy with the birth of my first son 3 years ago. I was anxious about being on demand for infant care for my recent 2nd son’s birth given the challenges we had previously, however, I found the process significantly more manageable the 2nd time around largely due to the support of the placenta pills. Even while trying to keep up with an active toddler, I found far more joy, creativity, and peace the first 2 months than I thought possible. Nikole made the process seamless, was responsive and helpful in answering all my questions as well as sharing great Mommy wisdom. I’m excited to use the final pills to support me in my transition back to work. I would strongly recommend her services to anyone seeking a smooth postpartum.
Hi, I just wanted to let you know how much I loved the pills. I went back to work at 4 weeks (part time) and I couldn’t have done it without the pills. They definitely kept my emotions and hormones as normal as can be and I felt good. Thank you!
When I first heard about placenta encapsulation, I was a bit turned off and weirded out by everything. I did a few searches and after finding LifeTree and reading more about the process, I couldn’t find a reason to NOT try it. I contacted Nikole with a few questions and her prompt and thorough responses left me feeling even more confident about my decision to go for the encapsulation. While this is my first baby and I have nothing to compare it against, I experienced an extremely positive pregnancy and postpartum period. My milk came in quickly and abundantly and I felt more like my old self within the first week. Of course I am the normal tired but I never expected to bounce back this quickly…to the point I feel up to the challenge of a half marathon (if my doctors would approve this early on)! Bottom line – I highly recommend LifeTree Services and Nikole and any expecting friends will hear this continuously.
So I am going to encapsulate my placenta after my birth… What?, Your kidding!, That’s gross!, Why?!, You are insane!”. Those were just a few of the responses I got when I shared what I was planning to do after the birth of my second child. I knew it was something that was worth looking into, reading about, and at the least doing my research on. I mean its your placenta the “temporary organ” that keeps your baby alive for 40 weeks +/- in utero, I mean that is a pretty powerful being. How could it not have powerful benefits after birth as well? Well I was committed to finding out.
When my daughter was born over 4 years ago, it was tough. Between being a first time mother, exclusively nursing, trying to get by on just moments of sleep, wondering if and when my emotions would stabilize, etc, there were days I didn’t know if I was coming or going. All of those factors were taking a toll on me emotionally, physically, and spiritually, I was feeling so drained and struggling during what was supposed to be the best time of my life.
Fast forward…I give birth to my son in January 2014. Oh no! It was the same weather my daughter was born in…A Horrible Snow Storm but I knew one thing would be different…I had found Nikole who was going to journey and trek through that storm to come capture and encapsulate my placenta for me! While doing my research I spoke to a few people who did encapsulation, all were good, but she was great! The first time I talked to her I felt so comfortable and connected…I knew she was the right person. She explained everything to me, really taking the time, checked and double checked if I had any questions and really gave me a sense that she was honored to be a part of my birth and I was really humbled by that. I remember sending her a message that my placenta was ready for pick up, part of me wanted to get it to her so badly but the other part didn’t want her to have to drive in that weather for it. She was so wonderful, said she was on her way she would take her time and get back hopefully before the worst of it. I mean come on…how wonderful does she sound…she is! I was recovering from a c section, it was uncomfortable and painful, but I was feeling the bliss of my new baby boy and the anticipation of how wonderful and different this after birth would be. The very next day, Nikole texted me to say she was coming back with everything for me. I couldn’t believe they were ready. I was so excited. She came in my room and introduce herself face to face, it was like I knew her for years. She gave me this adorably wrapped bag with all of my goodies, spent some time, and told me if I had any questions to not hesitate and get in touch with her. Well I did, and she was so supportive answering all of my questions and really creating more positive energy for me. I was on my way and was both excited and nervous at the same time.
So…did it help? Well it was one of the best decisions I ever made for myself and for my family. I felt so much more energy, was more focused, and even had more patience. I feel like my recovery was easier and faster because of them and my milk supply was boosted which was a plus! I have since shared my experience with just about everyone who asks me about my son and my birth. One – because it worked so great for me, and Two – because I really feel like the more we “normalize” it the more people will be open to it and with that will come so many more happy mamas! While I will say that both of my children have been the biggest blessing in my life, they were times that did add additional stress and at times pressure. In the end I was glad the way it all worked out, because I was able to tell the difference between doing the Placenta Encapsulation and not. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of doing it to look at it as a health benefit and something you deserve! It is something that will help restore and replenish all of those “essentials” lost during delivery and a great way to help your body, mind, and soul regain its strength back in every sense.
Thank you so much Nikole and LifeTree Postpartum Services. You hold a special place in my heart and I am so grateful I found you!
Working with Nikole and LifeTree Services was great. Nikole is so personable and a pleasure to work and speak with. She was readily available for all of my questions and answered them with accurate information and multiple options. Nikole arrived very shortly after the birth of my son and delivered what I ordered in a quick and timely manner. I am very happy with my placenta pills and items. The placenta prints are beautiful and I will always treasure them! Nikole is wonderful and I highly recommend her!
At first the thought of ingesting my placenta was a little bizarre, but I knew in doing so, the benefits would be priceless (chance to avoid mommy blues and much more.) Then I saw Tia Mowry on her reality show talk about how she encapsulated her placenta and I thought to myself hey that’s something I can do, so I began my search. I reached out to a few people in my area who offered these services, but when I spoke with Nikole, I knew my search was over. I knew that I found the person that I could trust to share this experience with. Nikole has great energy and great knowledge, everything I needed to feel comfortable with moving forward. Nikole is very professional and is always available for any questions/concerns I had and still have 3 months later! She made this experience very comfortable and convenient for me and my family. Nonetheless, as a first time mom, I am very pleased with the route I chose (encapsulating my placenta) and very thankful for Nikole who helped bring it all together.
The first few weeks with my first baby were very exhausting and my milk supply when I returned to work was hard to keep up. My husband and I read about encapsulation and were excited to try it with our second baby! Nikole was so helpful giving us the information we needed and getting the capsules back to us in less than 24 hours from birth! My milk came in very quickly and I’ve had a great supply for the little one! I have a lot more energy with this baby than my first and now I’m watching 2 kids! I am so glad we did it and would recommend it to every mom! Thank you Nikole!
I always laugh because we often look for definitive proof that placenta ingestion “works” yet we run into stores to by stretch mark cream, despite warnings that stretch marks are genetic. I used placenta encapsulation and felt that many of the symptoms of being “post natal” never happened for me. I didn’t experience hair-loss, mood swings, “baby blues” and overwhelming fatigue. Working with Nikole was almost like working with a ghost while we were in the hospital. She slipped in and out to pick up the placenta and we spent our time gushing over our new baby. She dropped off the tincture, broth and pills to our home with no problem and even forgave my anti-social behavior. What I have found most helpful is that Nikole – at no charge – continues to be available to me to answer questions. I was so grateful for her advice and references when I struggled with breastfeeding and she still answers natural baby care questions. I will always recommend placenta encapsulation and, for my local friends, I will always suggest Nikole.
One of the best decisions I made with my second pregnancy was to have my placenta encapsulated. From the first conversation I had with Nikole, I knew that LifeTree Postpartum Services would be the perfect fit. She was helpful, knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and provided great information about multiple questions I had. The best part of my experience was the effect the capsules had on me – I call them my ‘Superwoman pills’ because in the first few weeks following my son’s birth, after taking the pills, I felt calmer, more focused, and had more energy. The pills also made me feel more in tune with my emotions. I wish I had done the same for my daughter’s birth! I am so very grateful for everything Nikole did! Her kindness, her professionalism, and the beautiful touches she included in the completed package she delivered. I will forever remember my son’s birth and those first few weeks as an incredibly beautiful, joyous, and peaceful time.
It took me until my fourth baby to finally consider having my placenta encapsulated. I was kind of hesitant and squeamish. Nikole answered all of my questions and concerns clearly and patiently, and I decided to go for it. Although I had never suffered from any PPD or even baby blues, I have to say that the placenta capsules this time helped even out my roller coaster hormones and moods, and level my milk supply, compared to the the crazy oversupply I had for the first year with my other babies. Nikole brought everything to my home so quickly, with everything labelled and clear directions. I love that even when my capsules run out, there is also the tincture that she included as well! It was a great experience, and I would highly recommend LifeTree to any pregnant woman.
When I first looked in to placental encapsulation I had no idea what I was looking for. Right from the start Nikole was very prompt and informative when answering my numerous emails filled with a whole range of questions. She gave me her answers plus links to other sources where I could look to have all the information I needed. I had access to her throughout the rest of my pregnancy whenever I needed anything answered or even just for support as a first time mom. She came to the hospital to pick up and deliver my products and sat with me, asking how everything was and genuinely taking an interest in how I and my new family was adapting. Since then I have still been able to contact her at anytime with questions or concerns about motherhood and my new baby and always feel welcome to do so. I have referred several of my own patients to her services and am extremely confident that she will give them the best care as she gave to me.
Nikole’s service allowed me to deepen the significance of my childbearing year. The placenta–the first world of my baby– was not something I wanted to just throw away. Nikole’s encapsulation service allowed me to create a meaningful ritual and kept me connected to my body and my new daughter. I had my placenta dried by Nikole so that I could pour the ashes into 2 rivers that hold great significance to me and my husband– and therefore connect us and our daughter more deeply to the earth and to our experiences. But it was the act of honoring that placenta that felt most significant. So whether you choose to ingest the placenta or create some other meaningful ritual, I feel that Nikole’s service invites a family to honor the first home of their baby. I was also delighted with the presentation of her work. Along with the placenta, Nikole had also dried my daughter’s umbilical cord into the shape of a heart. Nikole returned everything to me in beautiful muslin bags tucked into a simple bag. It felt like opening a gift when I returned home to look at it all. The umbilical cord now sits framed on my home alter–a constant reminder of the 9 months my daughter and I grew together.
